Hey guys its been a busy few months lately. I have been trying my best to finish songs for the new record and some really great stuff is coming forth to be recorded. The first single for the record “All We Have” has been recorded it is just being mixed and tweaked before we release it to the public and hopefully to local radio. I will offer it as a download and the rest of the record shouldn’t be expected until end of the year if all goes as planned with an early 2012 cd release show. I will release the album title in a few weeks and ill be taking submissions for fan art to be featured as the cover of the record. We will be playing on August 5th at The Cypress in Metairie with Say!DontPlay it will be a great show and it will be HARRY POTTER DRESSUP THEMED!!! come dressed as if you were a hogwarts student or any other awesome HP character. please come out and have some fun with us and spread the word about chasemccloud! we love you guys and cant wait to share the new tunes with you all. godbless -chasemccloud
Hey everyone, we have been hard at work practicing to go into the studio this summer. I have been working on song ideas and trying to get a theme for the new record. I don’t know exactly where i want to go yet, but i can promise that we will give everything we have to this record, just as we did the last. One thing i have always admired about some of my favorite musician is their ability to constantly evolve and grow. I think that same thing will happen with this next record as i pray the following ones continue to grow and change as we do. We have been blessed to be given some free studio time at the studio we will record the record at. we are using that time to go into the studio next weekend and record a single from the cd. it will get released before we go into the studio to record the album and it will go up for purchase on itunes and on the website here. This studio time was a gift from a great friend of ours who believes in what we are doing, I can’t ever thank my supporters enough to express my full gratitude. Seriously guys, you are the best.
We launched a kickstarter.com fundraiser for the record 3 weeks ago and we now have 7 days left to raise the money needed. I know we arent halfway yet but i promise guys we will make this record happen no matter what. There are some big things going on right now and i will fill everyone in later on after some stuff is finalized, you can expect an album out in the fall. Hey guys, I flew out of New Orleans this morning and I’m sitting in Charlotte, NC airport right now. I’m really anticipating some great new friendships to be made on this trip. I want to thank everyone again for donating to help pay for this whole endeavor. Just a quick music update, we will be going into a local studio later this month to record a single for the upcoming album. I’m really excited to get it out to radio. Once we release it, i will need everyone of our fan’s help to get it onto local radio stations. On May 15th we will begin our kickstarter.com fundraiser campaign (this is to fund the new record). It will last until June 15th (one month) in that time frame we will attempt to raise $5,000 for the new record. The best part for you guys about being a part of it is the really amazing incentives we will be offering. I wont give away all of the secrets too early, but i will say that they include things like autographed cd’s and merch as well as the possibility to come into the studio to be a part of one of the songs on the new record! Im headed to Atlanta next wednesday for the worship intensive I posted about a few weeks back. Thanks to some amazing friends and family I was able to raise my goal of $1200 to pay for the trip. I can’t wait to update you guys on everything that happens on the trip. Please be praying for Brittany and Bash as i will be gone for 5 days and for me as i take the trip there and back. Im really excited about the trip and have just been trying to get mentally clear and prepared to meet some amazing people and allow God to speak to me while I’m on the trip.
In other news, you guys are probably all aware that i released the music video for “kaleidoscope” 2 weeks ago and it has gotten a pretty amazing response so far. Including a TV appearance a week ago to premier it to all of the 6am risers in New Orleans. Most recently I have been offered to go into the studio to record a new single that will be on my next record which will be recorded over the summer and released in the fall. This is such a great opportunity for me and the guys to put out a new song that we will try to get on local radio. These guys were absolutely amazing to work with and they really brought this song to life with a brilliant story and some stunning camera work. The video screening went better than i could ever imagine. I will be posting some live video and pics tomorrow afternoon. The video will officially release on the internet on Tuesday April 12th.
